Joseph Parker is coming into this fight on the back of his first career defeat in the hands of Anthony Joshua back in March 2018 in what was a superb performance by the kiwi who took Joshua all the way to 12 rounds and lost on points. Joseph Parker will be slightly favourite going into the fight considering how he held his own against Joshua while Whyte got knocked out in 6 rounds couple of years go.

Whyte was originally hoping for a world title shot against Doentay Wilder for WBC crown but Wilder is busy negotiating with Joshua. Whyte was also in talks with Luiz Ortiz camp but that fight did not materialized.
